Why missions? Why should I be concerned about the global harvest of souls?
Missions are a gift, not a task. God has given us this gift—to share in God’s mission to the world by witnessing to God’s acts in the past and in the present. Through the Holy Spirit, God directs the mission. Mission involves preaching, healing, calling to commitment, feeding the hungry, changing corrupt systems, teaching, liberating the captives, witnessing. It is our responsibility today as followers of Christ to participate in God’s mission. The scriptures tell of Jesus’ message of transformation—not just change, but a newness, a freshness and a fullness of life he makes possible. We are to be transformed, followers of Christ.
Think of ways you are going to prepare yourself to be involved in God’s mission...

Our most recent trip to Agua Prieta was on Saturday, June 26th. We had two vehicles; Bill Pott's vehicle was loaded with all of the diapers and Michael Howard's had clothes, food and two medical office chairs. Bill, Michael and Steve Arden painted a room for Doug and Jan at the Community Center. Belma held two oral health education classes with small kids and pre-teens. Bill recruited his little friend Boga to help with painting. Boga is about 10 and it appears he took to painting very well. Jan said that sometimes he gets himself into trouble. Perhaps Jesus had a hand in peaking his interest in painting. He loved working with the guys. So many of the children do not have father figures at home, only their mothers. He was proud to be one of the guys. After almost 100 bags of chips were handed out to the kids and they left, we went to lunch with Doug, Jan, Doug's sister and brother-in-law. We had a great time and it was a great productive day. We are looking forward to going again to finish painting and other projects. Please keep an eye out for powdered milk and oats on sale. They need these items to feed the men at the refuge.

Please contact Deb Tobias at ddtobias@msn.com or call 520.780.8207 for information regarding opportunities to donate through the church and/or travel with us to the Refuge to help those in need. Continued collections are gathered for powdered milk, ground coffee, beans, rice, sugar, crafts, sports balls at both campuses.
