15 Dec Week 51 – Who Is The Holy Spirit Reading and Bible Verses
Who is The Holy Spirit?
Today I choose to live my life by the Spirit. I will allow the Holy Spirit to make the changes in me He desires that I may become more like Jesus. He began a lifelong process of change in me the moment I made the decision to put my faith in Jesus and follow Him; He filled me with His presence at that very moment. The Holy Spirit has worked a miracle in me; my life is changed. He has set me free from the bondage of sin and from the guilt and shame of my past. He has united me with Jesus.
He is the power for the new life I have in Jesus and He gives me power to live a life of obedience to God and His Word. The Holy Spirit empowers me with a mighty inner strength from the Father’s glorious unlimited resources. As a follower of Jesus I choose to listen to the Holy Spirit and to obey Him as He guides and directs me. He has set me apart by drawing me near to God the Father for a special use through inner transformation making me more like Jesus every day. My spiritual growth is dependent on His continual work in me.
Today I choose to live my life by the Spirit. He makes me aware of God’s love for me and assures me I am adopted as a child of God the Father. By His grace and mercy my inheritance is the riches and goodness of God the Father for all eternity. For He is the one through whom God the Father fulfills all His promises to me. He is God’s guarantee, and my great confidence is that God never breaks His promises. The transformation the Holy Spirit has made and continues to make in my life authenticates my relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ; through Him I am signed, sealed and delivered.
The Spirit of God is my counselor; He cares for me and guides me. He is the very presence of God the Father living in me, helping me live as God wants and as Jesus showed by His example here on earth. Through my faith in Him I am able to appropriate the Holy Spirit’s power working in me each day. He is always with me reminding me of Jesus’ words, living in me, teaching me and convicting me.
I desire the qualities and characteristics of the Holy Spirit living in me and through me; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I choose to use the gifts He has given me to live my life according to His plan and purpose for me. My sinful nature is now under the control of the Holy Spirit. I will not fight the struggles of this life in my own strength, but I will let the power of the Holy Spirit work in and through me in all things. I am willing to live my life by the Spirit moment by moment. I have set my mind and heart on the things of the Spirit and today I choose to live my life by the Spirit.
