As followers of Jesus, it is important to always look for ways to grow in our faith. At this event, we will hear from a guest speaker Cicely Thomas, from Convoy of Hope. She will teach us steps to take to be more compassionate and how we can teach kids about compassion. We want to do our best to live in compassion so we can represent Jesus as His followers.



A Six-Week Sermon Series for Adults, Youth, and Kids
Experience the transformative power of compassion through our six-week sermon series. Based on the profound words of Jesus: “You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate” (Luke 6:36), this series will help you understand and embody the compassionate heart of God in a practical, hands-on way. Adults, Youth and Kids will learn new ways to be compassionate through age-appropriate teachings.


Journey through Six Initiatives of Compassion
In this series, we will explore six initiatives in partnership with Convoy of Hope that reflect the compassionate teachings of Jesus: Community, Women’s Empowerment, Rural Initiatives, Agriculture, Disaster Services, and Children’s Feeding. Each week, you will be immersed in a new theme that will inspire you to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our world in need.
Our weekly topics are:
1. Hope For Every Community
2. Hope In Every Harvest
3. Hope for Rural Communities
4. Hope for Every Woman
5. Hope in Every Storm
6. Hope Begins with a Meal.
These teachings guide us in living out our world’s Great Commandments and the Great Commission. Emphasizing the importance of ministering to the poor and needy.
