Activate – Part 2: Salt and Light

Activate – Part 2: Salt and Light

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:13-14 (p.736)

  • I Will Let My Good Deeds Shine.

“You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord…” 2 Corinthians 4:5 (p.883)

  1. Plug into God

“Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, ‘I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.’” John 8:12 (p.817)

  1. Shine out

“No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:15-16 (p.736)

Series Memory Verse: “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19 (p.760)

My Next Step This Week:

_____ I am receiving the love and light of Jesus for the first time.
