Quick Review

Discussion Starters from the Weekend Talk

Refer to the Talk Notes and related Bible verses from this Weekend’s Talk Notes.

The key spiritual principle Pastor Jeff Love emphasized this week is:

  • I Make A Difference One Relationship At A Time.
    • Read 1 John 4:11 (p.943)
    • Read John 3:16 (p.811)
      • What is it that sets up our ability to love others?
      • Why is “one at a time” an important principle to grasp?

Jeff challenged us to focus on the only two relationships that really matter, and in this order:

  1. With God.
    • Read Ephesians 2:10 (p.896)
    • What does it mean that you are a “masterpiece?”
    • If more people realized the masterpiece that God made them to be, how do you think it would affect their lives?
  2. With Others.
    • Read 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (p.907).
    • Read Ecclesiastes 4:9 (p.506).
    • Who needs to be encouraged?
    • Why do you think the Bible specifically tells us to encourage each other?
    • Does encouragement come naturally to you?
    • When have you experienced the Ecclesiastes 4:9 principle of “two are better off than one?”

My Next Step This Week:

______ I will invest time each day encouraging ___________________.

  • Why did you list this person?
    • What specific action will you take to give that encouragement?
