Forward Motion – Part 5: Influence Daily
Ephesians 3:1-21
Influence Is Not Passive:
- You are constantly influencing others.
- You get to choose to influence for good or evil.
- You’re accountable to God for how you influence others.
Influence Daily: We intentionally build relationships with those in our circles of influence as we model a life centered on following Jesus.
- My Values Shape The Influence I Have On Those Around Me.
“By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.” Ephesians 3:7–8 (p.896)
- Intentionally build relationships.
“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts…Your roots will grow down into God’s love…then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” Ephesians 3:16–19 (p.896)
“This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.” John 15:12 (p.824)
- Model a life centered on following Jesus.
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20 (p.896)
“And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.” 1 Corinthians 11:1 (p.876)
My Next Step This Week: I will start each day this week by praying for God to guide my values and influence with element # _____.
