Key Verse: “Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.” Ephesians 4:23–24 (p.897)

”Then, teaching them more about prayer, he used this story: “Suppose you went to a friend’s house at midnight, wanting to borrow three loaves of bread. You say to him, A friend of mine has just arrived for a visit, and I have nothing for him to eat.’ And suppose he calls out from his bedroom, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is locked for the night, and my family and I are all in bed. I can’t help you.’ But I tell you this—though he won’t do it for friendship’s sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence.” Luke 11:5–8 (p.793)

  • Be Persistent And Consistent In Communicating With God.
  1. Prayer.

“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for…For everyone who asks, receives.” Luke 11:9a & 11:10a (p.793)

“And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.” James 4:3 (P.932)

  1. Study.

“Keep on seeking, and you will find…Everyone who seeks, finds.” Luke 11:9b & 11:10b (p.793)

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.  God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (p.915)

  1. Meditation.

“Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you…And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” Luke 11:9c & 11:10c (p.793)

“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” Joshua 1:8 (p.168)
