Stand Firm – Part 3: Body Armor

Stand Firm – Part 3: Body Armor

Body Armor
Stand Firm – Week 3
May 2-3, 2020
Dr. Jeffrey Allen Love

“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Proverbs 4:23 (p.483)

Series Key Verse:

“Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” Ephesians 6:10-11 (p.898)

“Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.” Ephesians 6:13-14 (p.898)

  • Satan Is No Match For The Righteousness Of God.

“He (Jesus) canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.” Colossians 2:14-15 (p.903)

  1. Accept God’s righteousness.

“Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law…For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.” Galatians 2:16 (p.891)

  1. Live in God’s righteousness.

“And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God.” Titus 2:12 (p.917)

My Next Step:       This week I will read the daily reading “Grace” in the Life Transformation Bible. (page A 40 – A41)
