John 4:43-54

Series Key Verse:

“Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” Ephesians 6:10-11 (p.898)

“Put on salvation as your helmet.” Ephesians 6:17a (p.898)

  • Only Jesus Guarantees My Salvation.

“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 (p.864)

  1. Come to Jesus.

“When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged Jesus to come to Capernaum to heal his son, who was about to die.” John 4:47 (p.812)

  1. Believe Jesus.

“’(Jesus)…Go back home. Your son will live!’ And the man believed what Jesus said and started home.” John 4:50 (p.812)

  1. Trust in Jesus.

“While the man was on his way, some of his servants met him with the news that his son was alive and well… And he and his entire household believed in Jesus.” John 4:51-53 (p.812)

“But let us who live in the light be clearheaded…wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.” 1 Thessalonians 5:8 (p.907)

Next Step:       I will begin each day with this prayer: “Jesus, I declare that you are Lord and I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead. And because of that I have put on the helmet of salvation.”
