- Live Like No One Else So Later You Can Live Like No One Else.
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:33
- All Debts Are Not Created Equal.
“Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another.” Romans 13:8a
- Plug Holes That Will Sink Your Financial Ship.
a. A Lack Of Contentment
“…I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation…” Philippians 4:11-12
b. Impulse Buying
“But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?” Luke 14:28
“Better to be an ordinary person with a servant than to be self-important but have no food.” Proverbs 12:9
“It’s poor judgment to guarantee another person’s debt or put up security for a friend.” Proverbs 17:18
- Commit To Climbing Out Of Debt.
a. Trust The Master, Not Mastercard.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:5-6
b. Develop A Game Plan And Work It.
“Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.” Proverbs 21:5
c. Honor The Lord With Your Income.
“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.” Proverbs 3:9
Hebrew: Tebuw’ah (teb-oo-aw’) income, i.e. produce (gain, increase, revenue.)
My Next Step This Week: I am choosing to begin or continue to honor God with my income.
