All ages on the same topic each week with age-appropriate teaching.
One Voice Means:
All ages learn the same biblical principle each week and how to apply it to their lives.
Environments are age-appropriate and relevant.
Families continue the conversation at home and challenge each other.
Discipleship happens at every age level.
Engaging everyone with volunteer opportunities from kids to adult.
Discovering unique connection points for every age level.
This is a radical new way of doing church and making disciples. For too long the church has been siloed from the rest of life. Families come to church together but that is where their unity ends. Kids go one way, and the adults go another. This is born out of the necessity to ensure age-appropriate learning to be followers of Jesus. Some have tried to answer this problem by having families together in one service. Typically, the kids and students are left out of the conversation at this point because the teaching/preaching is geared toward the adults. Should the pastor choose to speak to the children or students, then the adults are left wanting more.
A Life Transformation Church pastors everyone with one voice allowing the church to truly partner with parents in teaching and discipling their children. In truth, we often work against the parents, especially in reaching the lost, by not being on the same page. At times we are teaching the kids Biblical issues that mom and dad are clueless about.
Pastoring with one voice means that all age groups are on the same topic each week during the services with age-appropriate teaching. All ages are taught from the same main scripture with the same main point. For instance, all ages learning this simple Biblical principle: “When Life Is Wild, God Is Good” would use the key verse Philippians 4:6, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Age appropriate messages/lessons are developed around this and the context in which Jesus spoke it.
