Biblical Authority

We live under and surrender to the authority of God’s Word by:

Gather Purposefully
We embrace a consistent rhythm of worship, inspiration and motivation while emphasizing life transformation by growing to be more like Jesus.

  1. Make Jesus the foundation of your life.

“In those days you were living apart from Christ…But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.” Ephesians 2:12–13 (p.896)

“You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor.” 1 Peter 2:4 (p.935)

  1. Build a stronger church community.

“Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.” Ephesians 2:20 (p.896)

“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-12 (p.897)

  1. Be a living home for God.

“Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.” Ephesians 2:22 (p.896)

(Paul) “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 (p.891)

My Next Step This Week: __As a member of God’s family, I embrace the value of Gathering Purposefully in 2025—growing to be more like Jesus and encouraging others to do the same.
