Fully Alive – Part 3: Easter
Luke 24:35-53
(Jesus) “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.” John 11:25 (p.820)
“And just as they were telling about it, Jesus himself was suddenly standing there among them. ‘Peace be with you,’ he said. But the whole group was startled and frightened, thinking they were seeing a ghost!” Luke 24:36-37 (p.808)
- Jesus Resurrection Gives Me Peace.
Primary Peace Robbers (Philippians):
- Circumstances
- People
- Material Things
- Worry
“That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! ‘Peace be with you,’ he said.” John 20:19 (p.828)
- Look and touch.
“’Why are you frightened?’ he asked. ‘Why are your hearts filled with doubt? Look at my hands. Look at my feet. You can see that it’s really me…’” Luke 24:38-39a (p.808)
“…Touch me and make sure that I am not a ghost, because ghosts don’t have bodies, as you see that I do.” Luke 24:39b (p.808)
- Embrace the joy and wonder.

“…Then he asked them, ‘Do you have anything here to eat? They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he ate it as they watched.’” Luke 24:41b-43 (p.808)
