God’s Not Done – Part 1: True Peace

John 14:15-21, 27

”And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy SpiritNo, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. John 14:16-17a, 18a (p.823)

  • God Is The Only True Source Of Peace.
  1. Accept the truth that Jesus promises peace.

”Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.’” Matthew 11:28 (p.742)

  1. Make healthy biblical community a priority.

”Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts…” Colossians 3:14-15a (p.904)

”You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” Isaiah 26:3 (p.535)

”True peace comes as I let God have His way in every circumstance of my life…My peace is built on the foundation of God’s Word and His promises.”  Daily Reading – Peace (p.A56)

Series Memory Verse: “I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27 (p.824)
