Masterpiece – Part 4: Created in His Image
Ephesians 4:17-32
We can live hopelessly confused, with closed minds and hardened hearts, no sense of shame, practicing every kind of impurity (Ephesians 4: 17-19), or we can live in the character of Christ. (Ephesians 2:20)
- We Are Created In God’s Image To Reflect His Character.
- Throw off your old sinful nature.
”Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception.” Ephesians 4:21-22 (p.897)
”All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. ” 2 Timothy 3:16 (p.915)
INSTEAD
“… let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.” Ephesians 4:23 (p.897)

- Put on your new nature.
“Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.” Ephesians 4:24 (p.897)

Series Memory Verse: “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

My Next Step This Week: I will throw off my sinful nature and ask The Spirit to renew me as God’s masterpiece.
