Luke 10:38-42

  • Align Your Time With God’s Priorities.

1. Don’t get distracted by the world’s mission.

“…Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” Luke 10:40 (p.793)

2. Be concerned about His mission.

“But the Lord said to her, ‘My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details!’” Luke 10:41 (p.793)

“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (p.793)

Series Memory Verse: “Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39 (p.753)

Ways to be concerned about his mission:

a. Know the Mission of God: Love God, Love others.

b. Focus on things that won’t pass away.

c. Hold onto everything else loosely.
