Outcast vs. Belonging
“God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.” Ephesians 1:5 (p.895)
- Jesus Wants Me In His Family.
“… ‘Follow me and be my disciple,’ Jesus said to him. So Matthew got up and followed him.” Matthew 9:9 (p.739)
“Later, Matthew invited Jesus and his disciples to his home as dinner guests, along with many tax collectors and other disreputable sinners. But when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, ‘Why does your teacher eat with such scum?’” Matthew 9:10-11 (p.740)

- Get up and follow.
